“From little Acorns!” Deciding to specialise in a specific aspect of the building trade was a big decision for our company. Oak turned out to be our specialised direction, and, from designing a building for our own private use, many years ago, which attracted clients from all over Norfolk, and beyond, all of whom were looking for traditionally cut and built oak framed building, our business took a unexpected direction. But one that we are still very excited about to this day.

All of our frames are hand cut, with traditional mortise and tenon joints and oak pegs. There are no two frames the same. The raw product is delivered to our yard, and our cleaver carpenters then cut that frame to the client’s specific design. There is nothing “flat pack” about our company! All the knee braces are carefully crafted by hand too.

We can offer our clients a “complete service package” that incorporates planning applications, design, ground works, oak framing and roofing. Along side all of this, we also renovate old properties, which has become another part of our business that is equally as important and equally as busy. Our team have worked on properties dating back to the 16th century, requiring skills and materials that are sympathetic to its age, but also allow comfortable living for today. And what’s really lovely is that we can also incorporate our oak work into these renovations projects, so the two aspects of our business run hand in hand together beautifully.
